Are you kind enough? Elissa Kravetz and the Farley Project

With the start of a new year, I spent a lot of time sitting and thinking about where I wanted my business to go over the next year. I started designing scarves almost by accident, and over the years it’s grown into a business that occupies much of my time.

As I reflect on how much time I spend in the studio, it’s also important that the work is making a positive impact. The goal behind creating the scarves, is to design an accessory for women that helps them to feel  special, and confident, as without confidence we never step fully into our life’s role.

While at a Simply Stylist event in NYC last year I had the privledge of hearing Elissa Kravetz speak and share the story behind the Farley project. It took all of my energy not to jump out of my seat midway through her story, give her a hug, and tell her that I wanted to play a role in her project and mission.

The Farley Project is about anti-bullying, but on a bigger level it’s about love and kindness, something that we can never have too much of. As a teacher, her mission pulled at my heart in every way possible.

I’ve decided that this year, 10% of proceeds are going to go towards the Farley Project and the spreading of love and compassion into the world. To find out more, listen to the interview below.
