The Creative Process of a weaver

The studio has been calling my name a lot lately. Which means that I'm not getting my laundry put away, and the house isn't being cleaned, but I'm making a lot of cool things. #priorities

Putting together a color palette for a new scarf. I never allow myself to buy new colors until I'm down to just a few cones, it forces me to come up with new ways to use color. I"m a firm believer in power of designing under constraints. What kind of constraints do you put on your life to help keep you focused and moving forward? #design

Lots and lots of tiny balls of yarn wrapped and ready to be woven into a scarf. This is how I create patterns in the work. I use the small balls to hand lay in the color and design. #textiledesign
