A New Style to Try This Fall
I was shopping with my mom and my sister-in-law, and by shopping I mean that we went to more than one store, something that I never do.
I”m pretty much a go to one store, walk through in 10 minutes, and leave type of shopper.
My sister-in-law on the other hand, is the go to lots of different stores, check prices, make sure that you looked at everything on the rack type of shopper, and it serves her well. I just don’t enjoy shopping enough to do it.
While we were shopping, I was helping my mom pick out a few things, and she was laughing as I kept telling her to put items back because while they looked okay, and were comfortable, they weren’t perfect. They were the type of thing that once she got them home and put them on again, she would take off and put it back into the closet.
I also went on a really long rant about fast vs. slow fashion. ( you can ask if you want to know more)
You know those items that you have in your closet, that you put on, look in mirror, decide that they make you look fat, short, frumpy, or any other negative way to describe your body, you take them off and put them back into your closet.
Stop putting them back into your closet, if you put something on , that makes you feel bad, get rid of it. Don’t allow it to make you feel bad 5 more times, it’s a horrible way to start to your day.
Keep only the things in your closet that make you feel how you like to feel.
Here’s what I want you to do . ( really , do this) Write down three words that describe how you want your style to make you look and feel. Use those words as your guiding principles behind what you purchase and what you wear.
Here are my words in case you need an example to get you started.
1. Bold
2. Free
3. Creative
I want to hear your words, so hit reply and share.
