When my husband I purchased our first home, I was thrilled to have a claw foot tub and imagined long, hot, relaxing, candlelit baths. My husband on the other hand saw,  the perfect environment for a mini greenhouse. Yes, he wanted to use to the tub to grow plants, and somehow, he won this battle. ( and yes, all plants were legal)

However, there are few times during the year, when there aren’t any plants growing in the tub, and it turns into a luxurious  place to relax.

Dan was away for the weekend, I was sick, the tub was not filled with plants or dirt, and I decided that it would feel so good to take a hot bath. So I filled the tub to the brim with hot water, and topped it off with bubble bath. It felt great on my cold and sore body…. that is until the bath was over.

As I dried off, I noticed that water was seeping onto the floor, and suddenly I realized that the tub, wasn’t hooked up to the pipe where the water needs to drain ( this has since been remedied) … I was draining the tub straight into the bathroom. Luckily I noticed this quickly and replugged the tub, without doing any damage to the house.

Unluckily, I now had to empty all of the contents from the tub, by hand with a bucket, so much for a relaxing bath.

I recounted  the story to my husband when he arrived home from his weekend away, he swears that we had a conversation where I was told that the tub wasn’t hooked up, I swear that the conversation never took place.

While the bath ended in complete disaster, it felt good while it lasted.

Assuming that you have a tub, and one that is actually able to be used for bathing, you should join us on April 19th, and create your own body scrubs.
