Tips on adding color to your outfit.

You’re heading out to pick up the newest addition to your art collection, you’ve been spending so much time dreaming about how it will look hanging on your wall, perfectly perched for you to admire as you work from home, you forgot to figure out what you’re wearing.
You’re heading to a gallery, which means you want to look pulled together, with a touch of looking like you like you have some creativity flowing through your bones.
Back in high school, when you took that one art class, you’re teacher probably mentioned color theory, at least I’m hoping so. But it’s also very likely that you forgot, or that you thought that color theory only applied to painting, and not putting an outfit together.
I see you in the store, trying to replay ever item that’s in your closet, trying to see if you have something that matches… trust me, you do, you just might not know it yet. But don’t worry, I’m going to teach you.

Why should you pay attention to analogous colors?

They’re known to look good together, and as an added bonus they create the feeling  of serenity and comfort .

Another fun fact, they’re often found in nature, making them pleasing to our eye and harmonious.

How to use analogous colors in your look.

One color to dominate + one color to support + a third color as an accent  ( feel free to throw some black, white and or gray in there as well)

Color theory works great, for …… whenever you’re dealing with color. Today’s looks are brought to you, by analogous colors. Which means, any three colors that are beside each other on the color wheel.

If mixing three colors, is just too much for you, that’s okay. Stick with two, for example, instead of the yellow shoes above, the look would still be great with some neutral shoes.
