Are you afraid to apply to THAT craft show? Dive right in like Tristyn Albright
I”ve been an admirer of Tristyn’s work for awhile now, and was really excited to get the chance to sit down and talk to her about her process. We talked for a good 2 1/2 hours and covered a wide array of topics.
But before we jump into that, I want to share some of Tristyn’s work, and have you check out her process? It’s pretty amazing.
Step one: “It may not look like much, but this is how I lay out the armature for a new vessel. It’s gonna be a beast.”
The beads all strung onto the wire. Ready to create.
Step Three:
The all too real tangled mess that inevitably occurs at the beginning of each new vessel. Total nightmare. So this looks finished right?
Step Four: 4 hours and 2 solo dance parties into the weaving process.
”
Inside the belly of the beast”
How far 1/2 kilo of seed beads will get you. And the Blue Lace Agate stone that will be added to the piece soon.
Video 1: Tristyn shares how she determined what her major was going to be in college ( this is never easy) And the ins and outs of how college works. This great for anyone thinking about studying art in college, that wants a behind the scenes look.
