How to love what you have in your closet

You don’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe to love your style, you just need to re-imagine how you wear and combine the items that you already have in your closet. Having less, will allow you to focus on buying statement pieces that you love, and want to wear over and over again.

My jeans have a life cycle. New jeans are saved for wearing with shorter tops, once they rip, usually in the crotch area, because my bootee and thighs are the biggest part of my body, then they transition into pieces that I wear under long tops and dresses.

Summer and Spring dresses transition into winter, by becoming tops that I wear over my ripped jeans. This lady does not have a summer and winter wardrobe, it’s one wardrobe that transitions into each season.

Baby It's cold Outside

It’s cold , like really cold , and I don’t know anyone that enjoys shivering or goosebumps, that’s why it’s become my personal mission to make sure that everyone owns a blanket scarf. They are so darn cozy, and cool. Because you know that when you wake up on a cold day, all that you want to do is stay curled up in your bed wrapped in blankets. While you still need to get out of bed, this is like a professional blanket… you can take it to work, snuggle in at at your desk, and drape it over your shoulders at the next board meeting.

How to Wear Boyfriend Jeans

If you’re not a fan of the skinny jean trend, or it’s just not something that you like to wear all of the time, you might be trying to figure out how to wear boyfriend jeans. Here you go. Boyfriend jeans are wonderful, because they are meant to be lose, but you also don’t want to end up just looking like you’re literally walking around in your boyfriend/ husbands clothes. ( unless you’re like me, and you and your husband are actually the same size). So grab those boyfriend jeans, then add a more structured top, it’s fun to make the top a bit more feminine, and then of course, you must add a scarf. ( said the scarf designer)

Dress Down Friday

Dress Down Friday

Dress down days are always exciting, but can be a bit tricky. While you want to go to work in your PJ’s, that still seems to be frowned upon, so let’s compromise. Slip into your favorite jeans, or leggings, add a long comfy top like this flannel. Then to push it more into the professional add a nice scarf, and to really top things off, add a statement necklace. Most outfits can be transformed with some great accessories. So wear what you want, add great accessories and you’re ready to go.

This scarf is also great, because it’s unisex, so you and your man can share! Buy it for him, then borrow it for you 😉
