Because you’ve always wanted to learn to crochet

Amber Kane Crochet class

Every time that I”m crocheting in public people stop and say that they would love to learn how to crochet, and I’m guessing that you’ve said that at one time or another as well, well now’s your chance.

If you’ve never crocheted before, in this class you’re going to learn two basic stitches, the chain and double crochet stitch, and I’m going to teach you how to make you’re very own cowl. You may not get it finished by the end of class, but don’t worry you’ll leave with the knowledge necessary to finish it on your own. You will also receive written and video instructions to help remind you how to do it when I’m not sitting beside you.

If you already have a basic understanding of crochet, you’re welcome as well. I’ll work with you on designing your cowl, and getting you started. You’ll learn that it’s really fun and easy to come up with your very own designs, and will have a pile of gifts made in no time.

PS: it doesn’t matter your age, I love working with people of all ages, so come as you are, and I”ll work with you along the way. Everyone will leave the class having learned a new skill, made some new friends, and had a blast.

The Details:

During this workshop you will learn the basics of crochet, and put your newly acquired skills to practice by creating your scarf/cowl. ( you will either leave with a finished product, of the skills and tools to finish your piece after class) You will have the choice of learning to create a triangle scarf, or a cowl. Both use the same basic techniques.

This is the perfect workshop to do with a group of friends, or come by yourself and make some new ones. You’ll leave with new skills, and a new stunning piece to add to your wardrobe.

Crochet is fairly easy to learn and has endless possibilities once you know one or two basic stitches.

Supply list:
– Crochet hook size J
– Two to three balls of yarn, the amount of yarn depends on the size piece that you wish to create ( if this is your first time crocheting, stick with basic yarn, no frills, fuzz, or beading)
